Why I'm a Republican
The following is taken from the national GOP web site, and my added comments are seen in green below.

I'm a Republican Because...
I BELIEVE that the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
And by that, the government should ONLY use our tax dollars to maintain that dignity, freedom, and ability to prosper as responsible hard working people. And not to regulate and control the people. (I.E. Tax dollars should help me be free, not make me dependant on the government!)

I BELIEVE in the equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability. In so much as Federal benefits and regulations is concerned. And that justice should be Common Law justice as provided for in the Constitution. As the present unconstitutional statute legal system, robbed us all of rights, and replaced those rights, with Civil Liberties, which is a sham.
I BELIEVE in free enterprise and that encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
And that it is the role of government is to encourage and sponsor and develop that prosperity, as possible, with low taxes, cheap loans, and via fair bid contracting on large long term investments of massive national scale. Where by the role of government should be to drive forward those efforts, by expanding things like NASA, and contracting with private firms to invent and develop those advances over time, and selling off all the assets over time, rather than having the government own the projects in their entirety. (No Socialism and no Nationalization.)
I BELIEVE the government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
Such that there should be an established limit of taxation, and limited forms of taxation, and the government should spend only within its means.
I BELIEVE that the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations, and that the best government is that which governs least.
Which means the government should ONLY involve itself in massive long term development efforts nations wide, which the free market cannot afford, and then sell those developed assets to the free market over time, as they develop. Instead of legislating everything in our day to day lives.
I BELIEVE that the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.
Meaning the government and its representatives must be made to follow and obey the will of the people they represent, and not only their campaign donors. And to do this, the Constitution must be restored as LAW!!! And the vast majority of modern Federal Powers given back to the States.
I BELIEVE that Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.
Meaning the government must obey the Constitution as a legal document. And any major changes must be made by an amendment to that Constitution. And no ACT or Bill, can contradict the clear language of that Constitution. Such that by ammendment, we can meet the challenges of changing times.
I BELIEVE in our American values and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.
Meaning that our military should help people and nations, and not help corporations, by promoting international global investment schemes, and that we should promote freedom, and prosperity for nations by helping them maintain their sovereignty and develop their economies.
I BELIEVE the United States Constitution must be restored as the rule of law by ending all declared states of Emergency, and or ending the day to day use of unlimited war powers.
I BELIEVE we must honor our soldiers, by making sure that they are fighting to defend a constitutional republic, and not an emergency war powers government which does not obey its own Constitution.
