Marriage : Has become a big issue of late, with the Gay community attempting to force a change into the fundamental concept of marriage, which has been resisted by the abundance of those in the straight community.
Proposed solutions for the Marriage issue :
( I will sponsor a marriage amendment, defining Marriage, as a union of a man and a woman, yet providing the relative benefits wanted by the homosexual community, and clearly defined in the form of a Civil Union.)
For a very long time they have been screaming for equal rights under the law, and yet the issue, has nothing what so ever to do with the law, or the Federal Government and whether or not it provides some minor benefit, and is instead about the creation of Marriage as a Holy institution ordained by God, specifically for the purpose of joining a man and a woman in bondage, to each other, where by the Man and the Woman, are via a committed contract agreement, promised completely to each other, and where by they lay their very souls on the line in promising this love to God himself, or what ever deity a group of humans may believe in.
It has always been a purely religious act, to bond a man and a woman together, because if they instead, just sleep around, together, and make babies, then those children grow up bastards, and literally grow up in broken families, broken households, where the level of care is greatly reduced compared to a committed relationship formed by the bonds of Marriage.
Homosexuals, cannot claim the need for levels of permanent bonding because there is never any risk of children being born between them, and or any of the permanent need to stay together as a family for the sake of the children.
Homosexuals need to recognize that straight couples need the clear definition of Marriage to be a holy union, ordained by nature and God, generally, in order to make the committment to each other so as to raise good and strong children, and the attempt to take it away by allowing Gays to marry, will only increase the rate of divorce, and separations, and reduce marriages directly, leading to greater broken homes, and orphans, and children who grow up with less love than they could of had, had their parents taken the vow of Marriage seriously.
THAT .... IS THE CONFLICT.
GAY people cannot get married, because they cannot form that same bond of potential baby making.... PERIOD... and while they deserve the same secular Federal government benefits and rights to be bonded, and made one flesh, they must do so as a Civil Union, which distinguishes the difference between a Marriage of Man and Woman and the Civil Union under law as two of the same sex. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE, and those differences require clear terms. And those terms are described as the difference between Marriage and a Civil Union.
b) If the Gay community was to focus on relative equal rights for Civil Unions in comparison with Marriage then they would find virtually no resistance from the vast public, because the public is only concerned with protecting the term, Marriage from being redefined by a special interest group, who is literally attempting to re-write 3000 years of world history, by redefining a term which for millenia, has been purely religious, and has always meant the union of a man and woman, period.
c) Some fanatics in the Gay community will scream that they want complete and full equality, BUT THE REALITY IS, they can never have it, because there is a CLEAR, very clear, fundamental difference between the union of a man and a woman, and the union of two men, or two women, period, they are not the same!
d) Again, some fanatics, even if they gain equal status to the rights and benefits, equivalent to Marriage as a Civil Union, will still demand the rights to ADOPTION, and I will oppose it at every turn, because it behooves the state to place children into the most neutral and un-biased environment possible, and a gay household is clearly a biased one.
And since being gay is not the same thing as being sterile, GAY couples can still have their own children with the help of donor eggs, and sperm, where by literally, if they are un-willing or too fearful to take the risks of producing their own offspring, then they can claim no right to want to adopt and raise other peoples pre-fabricated children.
If gay couples want children, let them make their own, which they can easily do in our modern world.
(Note: I recognize that gay adoption is occuring across the nation, and that it is only allowed to occur because of the vast number of abandoned children, and as such, the real issue is to find solution to prevent mothers from putting their own children up for adoption rather than attack homosexuals for wanting to adopt, and as such, I intend to put forward programs by which young and old mothers, who may have social and economic problems can be assisted and helped in every way to prevent them from having to, or believing that they ever need to or should want to give up their own children.

We can reduce and end the need for abortions and adoptions, if we can provide the means for mothers to have stable lives with their children. AND not fear poverty because of simply having babies.)
