Nuclear Weapons :   The existance of Nuclear Weapons is very much a large issue in this world, and it is not that we should be dismantling our nuclear stockpile, and instead we should be working with Russia and China, and other nuclear nations, to build together as a planet, a moon or near earth orbit based nuclear shield, for our entire planet, as the threat of dangers from deep space are no longer a figment of our imagination out of comic books, but exists in a very real sence, as large asteroid bodies which can threaten the very existance of life on earth.

So while it is true, we would have little hope of deflecting an asteroid with one or two nuclear war heads, if, we were able to apply several at a time, combine them, into multi-warhead packages, and able to strategically apply many hundreds of war heads, then, and only then, would we as a planet have any real hope of being able to deflect a killer asteroid should one of them, rear its ugly head.

And it behooves the governments of earth, to work together, to avert such a disaster, because all of our butts are on the line, literally, and what ever differences we may have as nations and people, is insignificant compared to what we have in common interest, namely, our continued survival as a species.
