Concerning : Don't Ask, Don't Tell as a policy.
I, Mosheh as President, will maintain, Dont Ask Dont Tell, in its present form.
However, I would order that all solders who are outed, and then suffer some form of stress, or tension with other solders, should simply be transferred, NOT dismissed from service.
I repeat, I would not repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell, BECAUSE IT PROTECTS GAY AND LESBIAN solders from abuse, because if no body knows, then no one can cause a problem because of it.
The only problem occurs, when someone is outed, and since it is usually the gay solder who is beaten, and suffers, I would offer them simple ways of being transferred, and continuing to serve with honor.
The simple fact is... Our solders are killing machines, they are mean lean fighting warriors, most of which have values, and strong moral convictions, and it should be no surprise that there could be violence against those who may get outed... Since, violence, is what the Military trains for everyday.
Those who want to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell, do not realize that they would be removing the one protection gays have in the military.
Also...
In all cases, of Don't Ask Don't Tell.... Someone must of Told.
I would propose to punish the solders who TOLD, instead of the gay solder.
The level of that punishment, should be horrible, but not so much as to ruin ones career, for example, one year of KP, sounds appropriate.
Of course, if the gay solder, outs himself, and wants permission to be openly gay and express their sexuality openly, then, they can either accept a tranfer, or be dismissed from service, as they bring no honor to the Military by promoting their preferences in bed publicly, no one needs to know, and most people don't want to know. Period.
If, we must repeal "Dont ask don't tell!" as a policy.......
Then, I as President, will order a NEW policy.
That new policy will be....
"Shut up, and mind your own business!"
And solders who don't shut up about theirs, or others sexuality, will be punished, with, K-P, for such periods of time, as to act a deterrent, to force solders to be disciplined, and "shut up, and mind their own business!"
