Global warming : There is much talk of Global warming, as if it is the doom of humankind, when in truth there are simple solutions to it, and whats worse, is that the debate itself, has people distracted from the real issues. We should be much more concerned with the local air pollution.
Proposed solutions for Global Warming :
a) The solution to Global Warming is to divert rivers into the deserts to reverse deforestation, to give people options to burning wood world wide, to desalinate ocean waters with solar
and nuclear power, and to use this increased water supply to water the deserts of the Earth, and TO PLANT TREES!! AND LOTS OF THEM! And no amount of CARBON tax is going to do anything but make a few well connected people very rich, and create another way to oppress the people with un-warranted excessive taxation.
If I was in Office, I would promote and push hard to do the following...
1) Fully expand breeder reactor nuclear power plants, by building many of them.
2) Mandate that all cities, build boiling towers, in the center of their cities, and use distributed sun following mirrors to focus the sun light, and provide clean energy in this way, local to cities.
3) Provide as many incentives as possible to make solar panels cheaper.
4) Use those new nuclear power plants, (which can be made cheaper), to start up a carbon cycle, where CO2 and H2O can be made into diesel fuels.
5) Promote the use of algae systems, to convert the waste gases from power plants, into carbon based algae products, which have multiple uses.
6) Mandate large scale solar power based, desalination plants in all the southern states, to provide water to the cities, and free up water to be used by agriculture.
7) Divert a large portion of the mississippi river, with pumps, to water the New Mexico, Arizona, and California deserts, and plant trees, and expand agriculture.
8) Promote organic farming, to trap more and more CO2 into the soils, as carbon based nutrients, which is a major means of sequestering CO2.
9) Help other nations do all of these same things.
10) Promote and provide incentives to find ways to pay for the seeding of the oceans with Lime... to trap and absorb CO2 in volume, and trap it, as rock.... and promote the use of lime in all power plants as a means to trap the CO2.
b) The issue which is avoided, is the need to reduce burnt carbon micro-particle pollution, which is the stuff in the air, from cars, trucks, and factories, and power plants, which turns our sky brown, and which, is PROVEN TO CAUSE CANCER. (These micro carbon ash particles, are carcinigens.)
It is microscopic pieces of semi-burnt carbon ash, which clouds our sky, and kills our people, and it is 1000 times worse than the questionable threat of Carbon dioxide gas. It will not be easy to fix this problem, but it is there that we should pressure our industry to find solutions.
But let me state clearly, the solution is not to use taxes, or fines, or penalty systems, as used in California today with the Carb Board, as it is basically criminal to do so, and instead we must focus on promoting simple modern filtering systems, i.e.. HEPA type filters on the exhaust vents of the car and desiel truck industry, which is simply an engineering problem. As of today there is on the market HEPA type filter systems in our homes, in cars, trucks, and buildings to clean out these micro particles, so in truth, all we need to do, is place large, cheap, replacable, cleanable HEPA filter systems on the exhausts of the many trucks and vehicles, so that they no longer produce or emit this micro-particle pollution, and as such, businesses in California can continue to use older eqpuitment, simply by placing large filter systems on their exhausts.
The technology to do this is on the market NOW, AND THE ONLY REASON THIS IS A BIG ISSUE, is because of the cost for these exhaust filter systems is in the 10's of 1000's of Dollars, and as such, it should be national policy to do all we can to make the cost of conversion to filtered exhaust systems, as cheap as possible, for commerce and for the people, such as down to only ''hundreds'' of Dollars.
c) And I warn the public to be worried about these clean coal power plants, because injecting gas into the deep earth (sequestering), could one day be a disaster, should an earth quake squeeze that gas to the surface, which then, as a large heavy toxic cloud, could very easily kill everything in it's path. And that path could be square miles in size, depending on how long and how much gas has been stored under ground. Its a bad idea, and is being done because of global warming fears.
d) I will put forward legislation to end deep earth sequestering, and pressure the Carbon based coal industry to use algae to make organic products, and or lime to create Calcium Carbonate, as a solid, which is perfectly safe to dump into land fills.
Read it all for yourself, it works, its safe, and can solve the problem.
