Fair Elections

Fair Elections
----------------------------------------------

I support some level of reform of the Election system, and would support a move towards a form of "Fair Elections" concept, so as to make it easier for the smaller less funded individual to run against those with abundant funding.

The exact nature of this Fair Elections proposal, however is debatable, and I would not go so far as to limit donations to 100 dollars, but would keep it at $2400 per individual, and suggest limits on donations by Corporate and Union pacs, as un-fair to the union and corporate worker, who is not given the private option to choose which candidate they truly wish to fund and support.

And I would work to allow for some kind of government sponsorship of air time, debate time, and easy regular access to Cspan, and other potential government internet and Cable channels to allow the words of the small under funded candidates to be heard by all american citizens who choose to listen to them.

At this time, Fair Elections, is hardly what we have, and it becomes a question of truly knowing what would be fair, when placing limits on elections and donations.  And in the placement of limits on elections, we must be very careful not to serve one special interest group over another....  Very careful.

As President, I would call for a Committee to be formed to consider it, and its many ramifications, and then I would leave it to Congress to make law, if they are able, and if not, then I might consider executive action, however, I would not be rash or quick to force my ways, instead, I would seek a national referendum to let voters deside.
